FALL RIVER – Thomas F. Eaton, age 81, peacefully passed away on Friday, Aug. 16, 2024 in the comfort of his home with his four loving children by his side. Born in Fall River, Thomas was the son of the late Howard F. Eaton and the late Claire (Davenport) Eaton.

Prior to retiring, Tom was the Superintendent at Oak Grove Cemetery and the Fall River Parks and Cemeteries, & Tree Division. Previously he had worked for several years as a truck driver for the Shell Oil Corp., then owning an operating Eaton's Shell Gas Station in Somerset, MA. He was an avid New England sports fan and loved to watch harness racing. Tom also loved calling his children to see how everyone was doing including their family pets . He was a kind person with an attractive style of humor.

Tom is survived by his four children: Christine Lewis of Warren, RI, Debra Pelletier (husband Michael) of Griswold, CT, Thomas R. Eaton of Swansea, and Heather Macy of Swansea; siblings: the late Mary Leary, Eileen Griffin (husband Philip), Margaret Driscoll, and Howard K. Eaton; twelve grandchildren: Christopher Martelly, Tyler Rosenholm, Michael Pelletier, Jake Pelletier, Alexandra Pelletier, Cole Pelletier, Peyton Pelletier, Timothy Eaton, Jacqueline Pereira, Sean Eaton, Matthew Macy, and Theodore Macy; seven great grandchildren: Kinslie, Kambrie, Kolbie, Benjamin, Lily, Paul, and Hailey; many nieces & nephews.

The family would like to thank Chun Tavares, and Tom's caregivers Loretta, Susan, and Genny.

Following cremation, a visitation for Tom will take place on Monday, Aug. 26th from 10-11 A.M. in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Fall River. Interment will be private.
