FALL RIVER – Tiberio Lopes, age 88 of Fall River, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Charlton Memorial Hospital with his longtime caretaker Fatima deSousa by his side. Born in Santa Clara, São Miguel, Açores, Tiberio was the beloved husband of the late Maria (Medeiros) Lopes and the son of the late Manuel & Ermelinda do Espirito Santo (Barros) Lopes.

Prior to retiring, Tiberio had worked as a Union Carpenter for many years. He was a communicant of Espirito Santo Church and an avid BENFICA soccer fan.

In addition to his caretaker Fatima, Tiberio is survived by 2 sisters: Filomena Faria and Liliana Rapozo both of Canada; nieces & nephews. Tiberio was also the brother of the late Maria Pereira and Ilda Rapozo.

Family and friends are invited to attend Tiberio's funeral mass on Wednesday, April 3rd at 10:00 A.M. at Espirito Santo Church, Alden St., Fall River. Entombment to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River.
