Fall River
Timothy "Tim" P. Nestor, age 59 of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 (St. Patrick's Day) his favorite holiday. He was the beloved husband of Melissa M. (Furtado) Nestor for 38 years. Born in Fall River, Tim was the son of Claudette D. (Caron) Nestor and the late Robert J. Nestor, the grandson of the late Roland J. & Doris (Paul) Caron, Joseph & Rita (Roden) Nestor.
Tim loved his sons Ryan and Tyler. He was a proud Hockey dad, encouraging & cheering them both on from their youth hockey days to their outstanding high school hockey careers. Tim was the Manager of the Maintenance Department for over 20 years for both Brockton Area Transit and Champion City Transit Management, Inc. of Brockton. He was a member of the NRA, the Tiverton Rod & Gun club, Fall River Rod & Gun club, the New Bedford and Copicut Gun clubs.
In addition to his wife and mother, Tim is survived by his sons Ryan J. Nestor and Tyler P. Nestor; his sister Pamela A. (Nestor) Sears & her husband Jerry Sears Jr; nieces Patricia Atwood, Taylor Furtado, and Mia Sears; nephew Dylan Furtado; great nephew Atlas Ahern; brothers in law Robert Atwood & his late wife Lauren (Furtado) Atwood, and Michael Furtado & his wife Kelly (Cosgrove) Furtado; sisters in law Melanie Furtado, and the late Sandra L. Furtado.
