Verna (Botelho) DeSouto, 93 of Somerset, passed away on April 7, 2022. She was the former wife of the late John S. DeSouto and the daughter of the late Olindo C & Rose (Costa Simao) Botelho.

Verna was a homemaker, staying home to raise her children. She was also a parishioner of St. John of God Church.

She is survived by her sons: John DeSouto (wife Janice) of Somerset and Daniel DeSouto (wife Jean) of Somerset; 2 grandsons: Jason DeSouto (wife Melissa) & Justin DeSouto (wife Brenda) all of Somerset; 3 great grandchildren: Austin, Kylie, & Amber DeSouto; siblings: Verna was the sister of the late Joseph & Alfred Cabral, Mary Carmody, Irene Medeiros, Elvira Camara, Alice Gallant, Lorraine Boucher, Roger Botelho, & Clotilda Dussault.

Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Monday, April 11 ^th with visitation from 8:30 - 10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Somerset at 10:30 A.M.
