ASSONET - With love and sadness, we say farewell to Veronica M. Remedis, age 81, who peacefully passed away on September 15, 2025 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife to the late Donald G. Remedis. Born in Assonet she was the daughter to the late Charles and Mary (Camara) Lyons.

She devoted many years of her life working as a clerk at the Brockton VA, where her dedication and steady presence were deeply valued. In her earlier years, she was employed at Bristol Aggie, where she lovingly managed the boys' dormitory, offering both guidance and care to the students who lived there. She had a playful side and enjoyed spending her free time at bingo, and she was also a talented cook whose meals and recipes became family favorites. The holidays were her most cherished time of year, as she delighted in decorating, preparing festive meals, and filling her home with love, laughter, and tradition. Above all else, she treasured her family, who meant everything to her, and she found her greatest joy in the moments they shared together. She will be remembered as a loving, hardworking woman whose warmth and generosity touched all who knew her.

She survived by her Children: Robin Wigandt (Husband Fred) of Canton, Nicholas Morgan of Assonet, Crystal Fletcher (Husband Matthew) of Assonet; Grandchildren: Molly, Troy, Maeve, Teagan, Anya, Klara and Brayden; Brother William Lyons (Wife Bertha) of Maine. She was preceded in death by her brother Charles Lyons.

Relatives and friends are invited Veronica's calling hours on Monday, September 22nd from 4-7 P.M. with a service at 6:30 P.M. by Chaplain Ines Bates.

A morning gathering will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd at 10:30 A.M. at Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 North Main Street, Fall River, with a procession to follow for interment at Bourne National Cemetery.
