Virginia J. Reis, age 74, passed away peacefully at home on February 2, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Joaquim O. Reis. Born in Santo Antonio, Alem Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Maria (Arruda) Carvalho. She was a parishioner of St. Michael's Parish.

Virginia was the loving mother to Sandy Reis-Galhardo (husband Gary) of Tiverton and Daniel Reis of Fall River; sister of Humberto, Jack, Manuel and Antonio Carvalho, Mary Cabral, Filomena Cabral, Fatima Furtado, Theresa Arruda, Anna Norfolk and Milly Carvalho; grandmother of 6 grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Virginia was predeceased by her son Steven Reis and her brothers Joseph and John Carvalho .

Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Monday, Feb. 7 ^th here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael's Church at 10 A.M.
