Wayne Alan Mays, age 65 of Somerset, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at home. He was the beloved husband of Mary Jo (Cabeceiras) Mays. Wayne was predeceased by his parents John & Janet (Cote) Perry, and his sister Susan Mays.

Wayne was a devout Christian and is now walking with the lord. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, playing games with his siblings, and was an avid reader. Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family, but he especially loved the quality time he spent with his grandchildren.

In addition to his beloved wife Mary Jo, Wayne is survived by his 3 children Victoria Hilario (husband Jeff) of Fall River, MA, Andrew McDonough (wife Cyndi) of Vero Beach, FL, and Rachel Mays (husband Matthew Spring) of Middletown, RI; siblings Sherry Work, Darlene Corriveau, Thomas Mays (wife Megan), John Perry (wife Sheila), Lisa Perry, and Deborah Confalone (husband Don); grandchildren Leo & Ella McDonough; many nieces & nephews.

A Memorial Service for Wayne will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at Grace Gospel Church, 3049 County St., Somerset. The family has asked to please not wear black, but rather a color that would be a reminder of Wayne.
