FALL RIVER – William "Bill" Orin Holmes, age 73, passed away peacefully at Southpointe Nursing Center on September 9, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Rhonda (Rezendes) Holmes. Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Russell and Agnes (Godsoe) Holmes.

Prior to retirement, Bill was a firefighter for the Dighton Fire Department. He was an avid football fan, always cheering for the Steelers. He enjoyed art and drawing, scrapping with his wife and saltwater fishing. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Along with his wife and several nieces and nephews, he is survived by his brother Ronald Sylvestor. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph Sylvestor.

Arrangements were under the direction of Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River and a celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
